Welcome to the revolutionary educational tool: POWER LEARNING Helping you to improve:
Power Learning, a revolutionary method to help all learners maximize learning skills, is presented by Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and Awareness Through Movement teacher, Beth Sidlow Mann. Based on the innovative work of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, a scientist and educator who developed a method for accessing the optimal learning capacity of the human nervous system, the academic application of these principles substantially heightens the success of learners by directly enhancing the functioning of the brain, the very neurological process of learning. Utilizing Awareness Through Movement Lessons, a scientifically based mind/body method that entails experiential learning we offer in-depth instruction in body movement, learning theory, study of the neurological processes of learning, as well as classroom application of this theory. With Power Learning learners learn how to learn effectively and pleasurably, while enhancing openness, creativity and spontaneity. They develop self-awareness, attention, and thinking ability, and improve self-esteem and the ability to relate to others. Learners are more successful in academic performance as well as social and emotional interactions. The results are that learners learn more quickly and effectively, improve academic performance, enhance problem solving, increase creativity, and develop focus and concentration. The work they produce is of a higher quality; this is achieved by enhancing and improving the intellectual, emotional and physical comfort of the learners. They discover how to combat the challenges that prevent them from learning, performing and/or behaving optimally - whether in academics, athletics, performing arts or social interaction. We identify and change such self-defeating habits as jaw tightening, holding the breath, and tensing the muscles of the neck, back and shoulders, while exploring movements which can improve concentration, focus, attention span and performance. Power Learning is a revolutionary, new educational approach, designed to immediately open up new possibilities for learning, movement and well being.
